CGAA archery is beginning its 5th year and continues to grow each season! Last season we had 23 high school archers and a middle school program with 15 students. Archery is a great sport for all CGAA students 6th-12th grade. Our team is welcoming and encouraging with a program emphasis on discipline, concentration, and fitness. Archery counts as a P.E. credit and no equipment or experience is required to join, so newcomers don't have to invest in equipment.  We expect archery to fill up fast.

For 2018/2019 school year, we had good results culminating in a second place in the GICAA and NASP state tournaments. One of our high school archers earned a $2,000 scholarship. The team and three of our individual archers qualified for Nationals in Louisville, KY. At Nationals, one of our first year archers qualified to shoot at the International Championship in Nashville, TN as one of the top female shooters in the U.S. Our goal is improving as a team with a return to nationals this coming season.

Registration will open August 1st with a $160 participation fee and a sibling discount of 20%.  The Archery Parent Meeting is scheduled for August 27th at 6 pm at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church for registered participants.  Practice is scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning on September 10th.
